About the Partnership

Leicestershire Together is a partnership made up of the county’s 8 local councils, the NHS, the Police, the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, the Chamber of Commerce, the Learning and Skills Council, Connexions, the equivalent Leicester City Partnership and the voluntary sector. Through the partnership, we work together to improve our schools, colleges, businesses, shops, hospitals, roads, parks, homes, villages and towns and help make people in Leicestershire feel included, richer, safer, better trained, healthier and happier.

Between us, the Police, NHS and local councils spend £2 billion in Leicestershire on educating, protecting, curing, treating, looking after, transporting and entertaining roughly 630,000 people.

It is the job of partnership to work across administrative boundaries and with the business and voluntary sector to ensure that this £2 billion is spent according to the actual and most pressing need of the county. So we have come together - public services, business, and the voluntary sector - and formed a partnership.
