What is Leicestershire's Voice?
- Panel membership is open to anyone who lives in the county
- Made up of 1500 people of different ages and backgrounds who have one thing in common – they all live in Leicestershire
- It is a chance for you to share your views and ideas about the issues facing Leicestershire
What do I have to do?
- As a panel member, you will receive 4 or 5 questionnaires a year
- The questions will be about council services but will sometimes include other services like the police or health
- Panels members may sometimes be invited to take part in group discussions or workshops, but this isn’t a must
How much of my time will it take?
- Panel members fill in 4 or 5 questionnaires a year
- Each questionnaire takes about 20 minutes – so in total about a couple of hours of your time in the whole year!
Why is it important?
- We need to know what you think so that we can improve your local area
- We need the views of all different ages and communities so that we can improve services for everyone
- Your chance to have a say about the things that are important where you live
What happens to the results?
- The Council looks at what residents are telling us and develops action plans and policies to improve things
- Panel members get a newsletter telling them what the results were and what the council is doing about them
- This information can also be found on the Leicestershire County Council website
