The Executive, previously know as the Strategic Senior officers Group (SSOG), largely shadows the Board in terms of the organisations represented but its membership is instead comprised of senior staff, largely Chief Executives, who work together to operate as the executive function of the partnership and take key operational decisions.

It oversees the implementation of activity to address our strategic priorities, taking into account public opinion and consultation and sub-regional, regional and national initiatives and direction.

The Executive also  co-ordinates the work of the strategic theme partnerships promoting cross cutting activities so that theme based ‘silo’s’ are avoided and cross cutting outcomes delivered effectively.

The Executive is also responsible for the management of the totality of public expenditure in Leicestershire and manages relevant budgets through joint planning and resource allocation, to better achieve joint priorities and more efficient commissioning, procurement and delivery of services.
