How Leicestershire Together works

Leicestershire Together is a partnership of partnerships - that is, it brings together numerous partnerships all seeking to deliver improved services for the people of Leicestershire.

It works on three different levels:

  • The Board is a political body which signs off key documents, intervenes where performance is not meeting agreed targets, and offers a long term strategic direction for the partnership.
  • The Executive is the group responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Partnership’s key priorities, managing budgets, performance and ensuring effective partnership working.
  • The Partnership Commissioning Group is responsible for advising and guiding Leicestershire Together on how best to spend its pooled budget
  • Partnership Boards have been established to manage delivery on each of the thematic chapters in Leicestershire’s Sustainable Community Strategy. Some of these partnerships operate at a sub-regional level – that is with the City of Leicester and Rutland to achieve their aims. Most however are managed at and by county or district level organisations. Leicestershire Together’s supporting partnership’s are listed below (lead area in brackets):
