On June 21st, Leicestershire Together hosted a conference at County Hall,
Leicestershire's partnerships are changing. The public sector has less money to spend; more decisions around how and where we spend public money will be made locally. Experience has told us that if we have the freedom as a place to spend our money differently, we can achieve better outcomes for less money. To minimise the impact of these reduced budgets and take advantage of these new freedoms, we need to design and deliver services differently, more efficiently and more effectively.
Partnerships in the future need to bring resources together and design and co-ordinate a seamless set of services, often shared services. To carry out this function, Leicestershire needs partnerships at county and locality level which can shape and lead this challenge.
This conference was an update on how our partnerships are changing to meet this challenge.
