Leicestershire Together was established in 2002. The partnership has grown and evolved since then and, as you would expect from the key overarching partnership for the County, we are constantly trying to improve the way in which we work:
In March 2006, we participated in a Peer Challenge (see the relevant section for more information) when a team of five “peers” from LSPs in other parts of the country assessed how “fit for purpose” we are as an LSP – the feedback was generally positive, but we are now focussing on how we can make Leicestershire Together even better.
One of the outcomes of the Peer Challenge was the development of a Partnership Agreement which sets out the roles and responsibilities of the different levels of the structure, and includes a job description for partnership members.
The pages on the Community Strategy set out in detail how we developed our first Community Strategy in 2003, and reviewed it in 2005. The Community Strategy section also outlines current work on our new Sustainable Community Strategy.
In 2005, we developed a new Partnership Performance Management Framework, this is currently being reviewed and updated but has already helped many local partnership to evaluate their structures, processes and ways of working. Please see the “partnership assessment” section for more information
